Dragon Ball fans were recently amazed by a God of War 4 mod that had the characters of Akira Toriyama's series replacing the ones from this iconic video game franchise. In that regard, the portion where the characters of Kratos and Atreus were replaced with Goku and Gohan, mirroring that father and son dynamic that makes the mod all the more compelling.
Some Dragon Ball fans celebrated the comparisons between the likes of Kratos and Atreus with Goku and Gohan, although some people were pointing out that Vegeta and Trunks' relationship would have been a lot more fitting. All in all, this God of War 4 was something that a lot of people didn't see coming and it surprised fans pleasantly.

God of War 4 mod features Gohan and Goku from Dragon Ball instead of Kratos and Atreus
A recent God of War 4 mod featured the characters of author Akira Toriyama's series, which took most of the fandom on X by surprise. This is something that makes a lot of sense when considering that the mod showed Goku and kid Gohan taking over the roles of Kratos and Atreus, respectively, which was accurate in terms of designs and gestures.
In that regard, Atreus and Kratos journey through several ordeals to spread the ashes of Faye, their wife and mother, respectively. While the vast majority of the fandom praised the addition of Goku and Gohan in this mod, some people claimed that Vegeta and Trunks would have been a much better inclusion for this idea.

As one could expect from the Dragon Ball fandom, a lot of people praised this decision which led to a lot of funny comments about the relationship of Goku and Gohan as father and son, and comparing it to the likes of Kratos and Atreus in God of War 4.
That is something that added to the experience, and also made the entire moment all the more compelling, with some even mentioning that Piccolo should have been added.
It is also a great way to highlight how popular Akira Toriyama's series has been, and the impact it has had all over the world. That has been shown with the mangaka's passing on March 1 of this year and how he continues to get a lot of recognition and tributes across the planet.
