Jujutsu Kaisen's final arc had a key moment near its conclusion by having the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, use his Domain Expansion for the first time. While this was a moment that was certainly hyped by the fandom, a lot of people still don't have a clear idea of how it works but there is the battle between Ryomen Sukuna and Jogo in the Shibuya Incident arc that works as foreshadowing.
At the end of the battle, Jogo is seen interacting with Sukuna in another plane, which is a common occurrence in Jujutsu Kaisen. While this moment has become iconic throughout the series, it also serves as a way to foreshadow Yuji's Domain since it has a similar mechanic and explores the series' world-building as well as the protagonist's family connection to Sukuna.

Explaining how Yuji's Domain was foreshadowed during the Shibuya Incident arc in Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji's Domain Expansion allows him to share memories and talk with others in a different realm, similar to what happened when Jogo fought Sukuna during the Shibuya Incident, where Sukuna delivered the famous "Stand proud" quote. This ability fits within the series, as seen when Yuji fought Choso, triggering memories in him. In the final arc, Sukuna also caused similar effects with characters like Hajime Kashimo and Satoru Gojo.
The nature of Yuji's Domain Expansion is meant to connect with his enemies in some shape or form and could be connected to Sukuna because they are nephew and uncle, respectively. This family connection could be a reason why they have a similar impact on their enemies, although this is a plot point that author Gege Akutami should have explained in a better fashion.
Why Yuji's Domain Expansion was important
There is no denying that Yuji Itadori's Domain Expansion was one of the most pivotal moments in Jujutsu Kaisen since that was the culmination of his character as a sorcerer. Moreover, when considering that this is the ultimate move that a sorcerer could learn and Yuji did it against Sukuna at the tail end of the final battle, this was a moment that is probably going to last in people's minds.
On the other hand, the thematic connection with Sukuna and the way this managed to draw comparisons between the two characters was quite interesting. Some people felt that the Domain needed a much clearer explanation and is a logical suggestion but, all in all, it doesn't detract from the importance that it had for Yuji's character and the final fight as a whole.
Final thoughts
The battle between Jogo and Sukuna was a good way for author Gege Akutami to foreshadow Yuji's Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen. The nature of reaching out to people in another plane was established there by Sukuna and became a staple of Yuji's character throughout the story.
