Jujutsu Kaisen is already nearing its end, with Sukuna still standing upright. Although Yuta is currently fighting Sukuna, almost every fan has agreed upon the fact that the final fight will be Yuji vs. Sukuna. Yuji Itadori's potential domain expansion has become a major topic among fans, especially after his impressive display of growth in his fight against Sukuna.
Sukuna's barrierless domain, described as a divine technique, presents a unique challenge that Yuji might be able to counter. There is speculation that Yuji's domain could involve a binding vow, similar to the sacrifices seen in Hunter x Hunter.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji's domain will have the simplest application
Yuji's possible domain expansion and its specifications have been a huge topic of discussion in the fandom ever since he started specializing in close-quarters combat as his basic combat style. Even during the Sukuna fight, Yuji was the single sorcerer who managed to display his astronomical rate of growth.
Although this growth was aided by Ui Ui's soul-swapping ability, it is needless to say that Yuji has still shown potential comparable enough to be counted among numerous high-tier sorcerers. This was especially on display during the entire fight, where Yuji managed to land numerous black flashes on Sukuna at will while also being able to heal multiple fatal injuries.
Sukuna's domain has been mentioned and addressed as a divine technique. Domains are a barrier technique where the sorcerer uses a barrier as a canvas to manifest their inner domain into reality. Sukuna's domain does not have a barrier, and he simply manifests his domain in empty space. It has been mentioned as being like a painting that does not have a canvas.
It is nearly guaranteed that Yuji will gain a domain expansion tailor-made to counter Sukuna's, but it has not been specified how. Till now, all domain expansions have essentially been tug-of-wars between two different domains, with the weaker and more unrefined domain falling apart. It has been made clear that two domains cannot coexist.
So it is very much possible that Yuji's domain ends up being the simplest of all the domains yet. Yuji's domain might simply be a barrier with no function other than to counter the attacks of other domains, specifically Sukuna's domain. Although many fans might think that this will not be possible, the binding vows introduced in Jujutsu Kaisen will actually make it possible.
The binding vows of Jujutsu Kaisen work similarly to nen from Hunter x Hunter, where users can achieve great power for an equivalent sacrifice. If Yuji creates a domain and imposes a binding vow that will only allow him to use his cursed energy or domain expansion against Sukuna, it could possibly counter Sukuna's domain expansion.
It is very possible that Yuji's domain expansion simply works on containing Sukuna's barrierless domain expansion, and thus, Yuji's domain might simply act as a canvas that will constrict Sukuna's divine painting-like domain expansion. Sukuna and Yuji have previously coexisted in a singular body, so it is very much possible for Yuji to envision a domain where he and Sukuna's techniques can coexist.
Final Thoughts
Yuji's ending might actually mirror Gon's fight against Pitou in Hunter x Hunter, where Gon sacrificed all of his nen and nearly died in order to take down Pitou. This is even more probable since it is already known that Gege is inspired by Togashi. Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 will be released on July 7, 2024.
