Yuji's Domain Expansion may be used a second time before Jujutsu Kaisen ends, and it'll lead to his death

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 265 recently came out and the main focus was setting up the upcoming battle between Ryomen Sukuna and Yuji Itadori. However, the latter's Domain is going to play a major role in the fight.

The most recent chapter saw the two characters interacting in memories molded by Yuji's Domain, and now there is a theory on Reddit that suggests he is going to use it again and die in the process.

This theory explains that is unlikely that Jujutsu Kaisen is going to end with the main character using his Domain Expansion only once, which sets up a scenario where he could be pushed to his limits and burn out when using it one more time.

That makes sense when considering that Yuji doesn't have a lot of experience executing his Domain and is up against Sukuna, who is a powerhouse in his own right.

How Yuji could use his Domain again in Jujutsu Kaisen and how it could mean his death

The focus of chapter 265 was on the conversation between Yuji Itadori and Ryomen Sukuna in the former's Domain, and now it seems they are heading into a final battle. While that is all well, there is a new theory on Reddit that suggests Yuji is going to use his Domain Expansion once again and this is going to mean his death.

It makes sense when considering that this is the first time he has used a Domain in the story and is unlikely that the protagonist is only going to execute it on only one occasion. Considering Yuji's lack of experience with his Domain, there is a chance he is going to run out of energy at some point, especially against an opponent of Sukuna's caliber.

This sets up a perfect moment for both of their Domains to clash, similar to what happened in Sukuna's fight with Satoru Gojo, and Yuji could very well die in the process, taking the former with him. It is also worth pointing out that author Gege Akutami is yet to explain the complete nature of Yuji's Domain Expansion, and that is another factor to take into account in this situation.

What can happen to Yuji and Sukuna in the coming chapters

There is a good chance that the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen chapter is going to focus heavily on setting up the battle between Yuji and Sukuna. Chapter 265 shows the King of Curses in the form he had when taking over the protagonist's body, so there is also a chance of showing his current condition and abilities at his disposal.

Yuji also stated in the latest chapter that he now has to kill Sukuna, which implies that he has a plan to do so. This is going to be a major factor to consider when taking into account that he has aimed to save Megumi Fushiguro time and time again, so it is going to be interesting to see how he manages to do that and kill his uncle in the process.

Final thoughts

There is a chance that Yuji is going to burn out during his fight with Sukuna in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and end up using his Domain Expansion as a final way to defeat the King of Curses. However, this is mere fan speculation at the time of this writing.
