A popular Jujutsu Kaisen theory has been done away with, thanks to the spoilers for chapter 263. The spoilers were supposed to reveal the continuation of the Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna Domain Showdown. Previously, Yuta/Gojo played it extremely smart by introducing a voice recording of Toge Inumaki's Cursed Speech.

The words "Don't Move" paralyzed Sukuna, who had been drained from the constant fighting. This had given Yuta/Gojo time to prepare to launch a Hollow Purple at the Demon King. What's key here is that the spoilers show what happened next, and, in turn, Yuji catches a glimpse of his "sensei."

His reaction is a testament to a certain Jujutsu Kaisen theory being debunked, putting all speculations to rest.

Until the spoilers for chapter 263 were revealed, fans were concerned that Yuji might react to seeing Yuta in Gojo's body, specifically to the stitches on his sensei's forehead. There was speculation that he would mistake Yuta for Kenjaku being in Gojo's body and attack him.

Moreover, Yuta's plan to copy Kenjaku's technique and weaponize Gojo's body was kept a secret from Yuji. This was likely because it was believed that Yuji and Sukuna might have developed some kind of bond (due to sharing the same body for so long) through which Sukuna could gain access to whatever Yuji might know. Also, this Jujutsu Kaisen theory further speculates that Yuji would have been dead against the plan.

However, this Jujutsu Kaisen theory was quashed by chapter 263 spoilers. When the Domain battle between Yuta/Gojo and Sukuna broke up, Yuji seemed to have little reaction to the former. He was completely focused on demolishing the weakened Demon King. This could be due to a few reasons.

First, it is possible that Yuji was made aware of the plan during the final moments before this ultimate showdown. Second, Yuji might be thinking that Gojo is indeed back, with something off about him, but isn't reacting, given the situation at hand.

A more plausible reason could be that Yuji is sensing Yuta's Cursed Energy (CE) from Gojo. Fans will remember that one of the first things Gojo taught Yuji was CE control and presumably sensing. Thus, Yuji probably gauged that Yuta had somehow rejoined the battle as Gojo.

Final thoughts

Chapter 263 spoilers debunk the Jujutsu Kaisen theory that Yuji didn't know Yuta planned to take over Gojo's body. His reaction to witnessing Yuta/Gojo fight Sukuna and immediately joining in is a testament to this fact. Like the others, he too might have been against it, given the abysmal nature of the deed.

Anyhow, with the way things stand, Yuta, Yuji, and Todo have Sukuna against the ropes. Hana Kurusu, aka Angel's introduction to the fight, looks to have compensated for Yuta's diminishing control over Gojo's body.

This is the most promising the fight has looked so far for Team Jujutsu High. Only time will tell what else is in store for this final fight.
