With the release of the latest batch of Black Clover chapters, the Yuki Tabata manga finally saw Yami Sukehiro achieve a new form. While many fans are grateful to the manga creator for giving the Black Bull Captain the Demon Form, others believe that the latest development is forced.

As seen in the manga, every batch of new chapters is essentially leaving fans with either a new magic spell or form. Hence, many fans believe that the manga creator has been purposely forcing such developments to keep fans' interest between the long breaks between the release of two magazine issues.

However, that is not the case as there is sufficient evidence suggesting that the manga creator had been building up to this moment at least since the Heart Kingdom Joint Struggle Arc.

How did Yuki Tabata foreshadow Yami's Demon form in Black Clover?

As fans might remember, back in the Heart Kingdom Joint Struggle Arc, the Dark Triad members Dante and Zenon Zogratis invaded the Clover Kingdom to kidnap the Dark Magic user Yami Sukehiro and the World Tree Magic user William Vangeance for the Qliphoth Advent Ritual.

The first part of the ritual was a magic circle that combined William Vangeance's World Tree Magic and Yami Sukehiro's Dark Magic. As per their explanation, Dark Magic effectively carried the power of the underworld. Therefore, it dyed the world tree black, enabling it to connect the living world and the underworld. This was a clear sign that Yami Sukehiro's Dark Magic was linked to the Demon World.

More hints about this were shared later in the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc when the Black Bull members arrived to rescue Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance from the Dark Triad. During this, just as Grey tried to heal her Captain, she realized that his body had changed entirely. As per her observation, Yami Sukehiro's body was seemingly almost like the devil (Liebe) that possessed Asta.

Moreover, fans must also remember that it was Yami's Dark Cloaked Dimension Slash: Equinox that played a key part in defeating the high-ranking devil Zagred. While others' magic spells remained futile, Yami's Dark Magic worked, hinting that it may have had a Demon/Devil connection.

If all these hints and suggestions weren't enough, Yami Sukehiro is also linked to demons through his clan. The name "Yami" itself means "dark" or "darkness," which as explained by the manga was linked to the underworld.

In addition, the manga also explained that the Yami clan gained notoriety for their magic swordsmanship and skills as assassins, earning them the name "Kijin." The word "Kijin" literally means "Demon People." Therefore, there is bound to have been some connection between the Yami clan and the underworld.

So, while it may seem forced to some fans, there is good reason to believe that Yuki Tabata has been foreshadowing Yami Sukehiro's Demon form for a really long time.
