After Yuta Okkotsu and Ryomen Sukuna's Domain Battle came to an end, the former unexpectedly lost control of Kenjaku's cursed technique in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263. It left him trapped inside Satoru Gojo's body with no way of reactivating the technique due to the absence of Rika.
Although Yuta had anticipated that he would burn out the Limitless Cursed Technique sooner rather than later, he didn't expect Kenjaku's cursed technique to give out so quickly. As such, he realized that the ancient sorcerer must have had some way of extending the duration of his technique, in spite of possessing multiple other cursed techniques.
This was previously pointed out by Yuki Tsukumo, during her fight against Kenjaku. She was able to deduce the fact that the latter must have had an external ability in his possession. Allowing him to maintain control of his main cursed technique during his usage of the other stolen techniques.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuki's notion about Kenjaku's fourth cursed technique explains Yuta's current state
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently in its final stages, especially since the protagonists seem to have used up all their cards against Ryomen Sukuna in the ongoing Shinjuku Showdown.
In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263, Hana Kurusu was revealed to be the sorcerers' trump card. She was tasked with using the Maximum Output of her Jacob's Ladder technique on a Sukuna who was currently at death's door.
However, the one aspect of the chapter that became a hot topic of discussion among the fans, was when Yuta Okkotsu lost control of Satoru Gojo's body and was left in a helpless state. According to Yuta, this was because Kenjaku's cursed technique had burned out before even reaching the five-minute time limit. It was due to his relentless usage of Domain Expansion.

While Yuta had anticipated burning out Gojo's Limitless technique, he hadn't prepared for Kenjaku's Body-Hopping cursed technique to give out in such a short time. As he lay helpless on the ground, Yuta realized that Kenjaku must have had some sort of workaround. Allowing him to act freely even after opening his domain and using his other techniques.
Since Yuta claimed that he didn't pick this up from the copied version of Kenjaku's cursed technique, it became clear that the latter had an entirely different ability that allowed him to maintain control over his main cursed technique.
This is further proven by the words of Yuki Tsukumo, who deduced that Kenjaku must have possessed a fourth cursed technique. It granted him the ability to freely use the Body-Hopping technique and maintain control over the body in his possession.
Yuki had managed to come to this conclusion simply because she knew that if a person used as many cursed techniques in one body as Kenjaku did, they would have undoubtedly overloaded their brain's memory.
As such, in order to utilize several cursed techniques in one body, one would need an external storage mechanism like Yuta, who used Rika to copy and store other cursed techniques.
It was proven in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 that it was impossible to maintain control over someone's body for more than a short amount of duration. Even with a copy of Kenjaku's cursed technique, it can therefore be concluded that the ancient sorcerer had an unseen ability or a different cursed technique that allowed him to use the Body-Hopping technique as he did.
There's also another popular theory among the fandom that Kenjaku's usage of his cursed technique was maintained due to a Binding Vow. However, it is too soon to predict if the secret behind Kenjaku's cursed technique will be revealed by Gege Akutami in the upcoming chapters of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. Leaving the fandom to speculate further about this until they get any official confirmation.
