A brief recap of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead chapter 66 part 2
The second part of chapter 66 kicked off with Kencho and others trying to make it through the zombified astronauts aboard, and their technique truly worked. Elsewhere, Shizuka and Akira continued digging deeper into the dossier left behind by the Umbriel Corporation regarding the unknown sample they retrieved from an asteroid.
On the 288th day of the experiment, one of the researchers on ISS got infected by the virus and the infection rate was fast enough to make the containment of the victim impossible. Soon, the virus spread all over the space station.
The author behind the research papers stated that they regretted sending samples to the Unbriel headquarters on Earth and hoped they wouldn’t repeat the mistake. Thus, it was revealed that the virus took birth on the ISS and was later transported back to Earth.

However, the bioweapons back on Earth remained a mystery for the duo. Outside of the ISS, Ukaji and Takemina successfully restored power. Unfortunately, however, the latter found himself in a pickle after his harness got detached after scuffling with a zombie stuck near the solar paddle.
Despite knowing that there was no hope for him being saved, given his body would float in space for eternity, following the law of inertia, Takemina was content with everything that he achieved so far. Akira and others were devastated, but all of a sudden, Ukaji sacrificed himself by pushing Takemina in the direction of the ISS.
