Asian Games 2018: All the Games Records in Archery
The 18th edition of the Asian Games is about to kick off on Saturday. Jakarta and Palembang in Indonesia will be the hosts to this 15-day extravaganza that will see sporting superpowers from the world’s largest continent battle for supremacy.
Introduced in 1978, archery has been one of the oldest sports at this multi-sporting event. South Korea has completely owned it, having been adjudged the best nation 9 out of the 10 times the sport was included.
A look at the Asian Games archery records will validate this as they are the holder of most of the records. Only Iran’s Esmaeil Ebadi and India’s Trisha Deb have managed to make a dent in South Korea’s domination of records at the Asiad.
Before the archery events begin at the 2018 Asian Games on August 21, it is a good time to go through the list of existing records that the archers will aim to break at the GBK Archery Field in Jakarta this time.
