India had reason to cheer at the Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok on Thursday as Deepika Kumari and Jayanta Talukdar clinched the bronze in the Recurve Mixed team event, after beating Chian 5-3 in the bronze medal match.
The Indian pair defeated their Chinese opponent 37-35 39-36 31-39 36-36 in the match to seal the bronze medal in their favour. It has been a good month for Indian archery with Abhishek Verma becoming the first Indian to win a medal at the Archery World Cup final in Mexico when he won the silver medal and then Deepika Kumari won yet another silver in the Women’s Singles event.

There are four more days left in the competition and India would be hoping to win more medals in the remaining days.
