Russian Paralympic archers sweep podium

London, Sep 4 (IANS/RIA Novosti):

Russia’s Paralympic archers swept the podium in the men’s standing category as Timur Tuchinov beat Oleg Shestakov in the final here.

Tuchinov downed Shestakov 7-3, while another Russian Mikhail Oyun beat American Eric Bennett 6-0 in the bronze medal match Monday.

Russian archers failed to win any medals at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.

China lead the Paralympic medal rankings with Britain and Russia in second and third positions, respectively.
