Before he became a professional track and field athlete, Evans also competed in team sports such as ice hockey and American football during his high school career. He has been representing the USA on an international level for the last decade. Evans rose to prominence after competing at the 2010 World Junior Championships and then winning a silver medal at the 2015 NACAC Championships.
