Originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Anna Hall grew up in an athletic family, with her father, David, a former decathlete at the University of Michigan. It was this environment that nurtured her love for track and field from a young age. She started competing in track and field from a young age, initially focusing on high jump and 1500m. In high school, she won three consecutive New Balance Nationals pentathlon championships from 2017 to 2019, and the 2018 high jump title. Hall also set national high school records in the pentathlon and heptathlon, catching the attention of top college programs. Anna Hall was also a member of the Georgia Bulldogs's women's track and field team for the 2021-2022 season and earned SEC All-Freshman Team Indoors and All-SEC Second Team Indoors honors in pentathlon.
Anna Hall followed that up by being a member of the Florida Gators women's track and field team and gained many notable honors in pentathlon, including NCAA Outdoor Champion, NCAA Indoor Champion and USATF Combined Events Championship in 2022. She made her World Junior Championships in 2018 and competed in the women's heptathlon event. Moreover, she also participated in the World Championships in 2022 and 2023 and earned a bronze medal in 2022 and a silver medal in in 2023 in women's heptathlon events.
