Disgraced sprinter Ben Johnson will conclude a global anti-doping tour in the Seoul Olympic stadium this month.
The Canadian sprinter, who won the 100m in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul and was stripped of the gold medal for using steroids, will visit the stadium Sep 24, the 25th anniversary of his infamous run, reports Xinhua.
Johnson is now heading up an international anti-doping campaign called “Choose the Right Track”.
“On the 25th anniversary of my greatest and also my worst moment in history, I’m on a mission for change,” Johnson said on the campaign’s website.
“Athletes’ perceptions need to change. The system needs to change. Sport needs to change – before it’s too late,” he said.
