Born on January 30, 2002, Brandon Miller is one of the renowned middle-distance runners in the United States specializing in the 800 meters. Miller qualified for the 800m at the 2022 World Athletics Championships after securing third place at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He qualified for his first Olympic team with a time of 1:43.97 after securing third place at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. Earlier in the trials, he set a personal best of 1:43.73 in the semifinals. His journey began at a young age with the Ultimate Speed Academy where he was coached by his mother, Angela Miller. He won the 800m at the AAU Junior Olympics eight consecutive times from 2011 to 2018 and broke the Missouri All-Class 800m record in 2020 with a time of 1:49.35. During his high school years at John Burroughs, played in both track and basketball and has earned multiple state titles and set school records.
