Bulgaria’s Inna Eftimova (R), pictured competing with Ukraine’s Mariya Ryemyen (C) and Spain’s Amparo Maria Cotan at the European athletics indoor championships in 2011, has failed a dope test and will miss the London Olympics, media reports said.

Bulgarian sprinter Inna Eftimova has failed a dope test and will miss the London Olympics, media reports said Friday.

Eftinova, 23, tested positive for the growth hormone somatotropin at the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, last August, BGNES news agency reported.

Athletics Federation chief Dobromir Karamarinov neither confirmed nor denied the information to the agency.

The 100m and 200m specialist has been informed about breaching the anti-doping regulations, sports website bgathletic.com said.

Eftimova would definitely miss the Olympics, where she was hoping to compete in the 100m and 200m as well as the 4x100m relay, BGNES added.
