Courtney Lindsey is a professional American track and field athlete, specializing in sprint events. He hails from Rock Island, Illinois, and attended Rock Island High School. He used to train at a boxing gym in the Quad Cities, run by his stepfather. Courtney started his collegiate career at Iowa Central Community College and transferred to Texas Tech University in July 2019. He worked as a part-time supervisor at MLK center, where his job was to create ideas and activities for children.
At the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Courtney reached the semi-finals in the 100m. In the 200m final, he placed third with a new personal best of 19.85 seconds, beating top athletes like Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman. He came in second in the 200m event in the NCAA Outdoor Championship in 2023 as well.
