Havana, April 13 (IANS): Cuban Ana Leydis Arias will represent her country at the Pan American Triathlon Cup scheduled April 21 in Bridgetown aiming to accumulate points for a continental ranking.

Fernandez said at the contest Arias will meet experienced triathletes as the Kyla Chapman from the United States, Canada’s Dominika Jamnicky, Maria Isabel Escudero from Colombia and Chilean Flavia Diaz.

The competition is made up of three events: 750-metre swim, 20- kilometre cycling and a five-kilometre race. So far, athletes from 13 countries are ratified to participate at the cup in Barbados, JIT said.
