Faith Kipyegon, born on January 10, 1994, is a Kenyan middle-distance runner and world record holder in mile and 1500m. She is a three-time Olympian, winning two gold medals at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics and one silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Faith has constantly dominated the World Championships, gaining four gold and two silver medals. Faith recorded her personal best in the 1500m event with a time of 3:49.04, becoming the first woman in history to break the 3:50 barrier in the discipline.
Faith began her athletic journey at Chebara Primary School and later joined Winners Girls High School in Kuresoi South, Nakuru County. She made her debut at the 2010 World Cross Country Championships in Poland at the age of 16 years, winning gold at the 2011 and 2013 World Cross Country Championships, the 2011 World Youth Championships, and the 2012 World Junior Championships in the 1500 meters.
