Gabby (Gabrielle) Lisa Thomas is a Professional American Track and Field athlete. Born on December 7, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA to parents Jennifer Randall and Desmond Thomas, she has a twin brother Andrew, and three younger siblings. The family moved to Massachusetts when she was around ten years old, and there she was raised in Florence, Northampton. She attended the Williston Northampton School and then completed her graduation from the prestigious Harvard University.
She has also completed her master's degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. During her time at Harvard, Thomas had made her presence known in the national circuit winning twenty-two conference titles. She only competed in her collegiate career for the first three years before inking a deal with New Balance in her fourth year to go pro.

Gabby Thomas has won two medals at the Olympics - a silver, and a bronze. She represented the USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won the Bronze Medal in the 200-meter category, clocking in at 21.87 seconds. At the same event, Thomas also won the Silver medal in the 4x100-meter relay clocking in a time of 41.45 seconds.

Gabby Thomas was part of the team that holds the record for the fastest 4x100-meter relay in the World Athletic Championships. In August 2023, Sha'Carri Richardson, Twanisha Terry, Tamari Davis, and Thomas represented Team USA in the 4x100-meter relay and clocked in at 41.03 seconds. This was the fastest time in the women’s category in the history of the World Championships. Further, Gabby Thomas’s 200-meter time of 21.60 seconds is the second-fastest by any American Woman after Florence Griffth-Joyner.
