Grant Fisher is an American professional middle and long-distance runner born on April 22nd, 1997 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is the son of Dan Fisher and his mother Sonia. Fisher is one of the top contenders in the distance running category for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fisher has been a dominant force in winning the Gatorade Player of the Year Award for cross country in the years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. In 2015, he became the seventh American High School student to run a mile in under four minutes.

Fisher continued to excel even at his collegiate level, winning the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field 5,000 m championship, becoming the first American underclassman to do so in 28 years. After Fisher became a professional, he emerged as one of the top contenders on the global stage, he finished 5th in the 10000 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and in 2022 he placed fourth in the same event at the World Athletics Championships. His coach Mike Scannell used to train him in high-altitude locations like Park City, Utah which can enhance his performance as a distance runner.
