Born on November 19, 1997, in Chesapeake, Virginia, Holloway has been a three-time World Champion in the 110-meter hurdles and a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He is also the second-fastest man in history at 12.81 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. He has set an impressive indoor record of 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.27 seconds. Grant is undefeated and hasn't lost an indoor sprint hurdles race since March 2014, when he was just 16 years of age.

He started his career under the guidance of his father at the Track 757 club where he and his older brother Trey developed a passion for track and field. So, the sport became a ritual of the Holloway family. Grant later went to the University of Florida where he saw great success. He won eight NCAA titles, most of which were in 60m hurdles. Grant also set an NCAA record in the 110m hurdles with a time of 12.98 seconds. In 223, Grant ranked 1st in the 110 m hurdles.
