Chandigarh, Oct 27 (IANS) The Haryana government will not give recognition to the recent election of the Haryana Olympic Association (HOA), a Minister said here on Thursday.

Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said the Haryana government cannot give recognition to the elections of the HOA as its President Abhay Chautala did not invite the district sports associations for the elections.

"He himself became self-styled president of the association," Vij said.

"Abhay Chautala was acting like a President for conducting the elections. Chautala had pleased some officers of Indian Olympic Association for this purpose, but these elections are also not acceptable to the District Sports Associations," Vij said.

Vij said that he had been receiving complaints from different districts and he would lodge a complaint to the Indian Olympic Association and International Olympic Association.
