Allyson Felix is a former Track and Field athlete born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was born on November 18, 1985, and was raised in Santa Clarita, California. Felix’s older brother Wes Felix was also a track and field athlete, who won a gold at the USA Junior Championships and at Pac-10 Championships. Her father is Paul Felix, a professor in Sun Valley, California and her mother Marlean Felix is an elementary teacher. Felix completed her schooling at Los Angeles Baptist High School and then graduated with a BA from the University of Southern California.

Felix has had a very decorated athletic career. As one of the most decorated track and field athletes, Felix had won an astonishing eleven medals at the Olympic Games including seven gold, three silver, and a bronze across 200-meter, 400-meter, and 4x400-meter relay categories. Felix has won twenty medals at the World Athletic Championships including fourteen gold, and three silver. She has also won the Diamond League title four times. Allyson Felix has won the Jesse Owens Award five times, an honour awarded to the best US athlete of the year.

Allyson Felix’s best 100-meter time is 10.89 seconds. She added this to her belt at the 2012 London Olympics on August 4, 2012. Despite registering her personal best record for 100 meters, Felix could not win a medal in this category at the Olympics. Nevertheless, she ended her career as one of the most decorated athletes of all time.
