Shubenkov who was late off the blocks powered his way through the remainder of the race to overcome Levy of Jamaica to take Gold. Europe played the joker and won a handful of points with a 1-3 finish.

400 Metres Hurdles Men

Samba was ever dominant as he overtook the leaders Whyte of Jamaica and Warholm of Norway to emerge victorious under the 48 sec barrier. He achieved a rare distinction of finishing within the 48sec barrier in all the final races he has run. Europe played the joker and had a 3-4 finish.
Gold - Abderrahman Samba (Asia-Pacific - QAT) 47.37 (CR), Silver - Annsert Whyte (Americas - JAM) 48.46 (SB), Bronze - Karsten Warholm (Europe - NOR) 48.56.
400 Metres Hurdles Women
Aminat Jamal's decision of going all-out in the first half of the race backfired as she plummeted to 5th place. Russell and Little overtook her in the 300m with Ryzhykova and Beesley occupying the 3rd and 4th spots.

Gold - Janieve Russell (Americas - JAM) 53.62, Silver - Shamier Little (Americas - USA) 53.86, Bronze - Hanna Ryzhykova (Europe - UKR) 54.47 (SB).
3000 Metres Steeplechase Men
Africa failed with their joker as El Bakkali of Morocco injured his ankle by stepping onto the curb and was taken away on the stretcher. Though Kipruto won a Gold their chance of claiming double points was ruled out as Bakkali did not complete the race.

Gold - Conseslus Kipruto (Africa - KEN) 8:22.55, Silver - Matthew Hughes (Americas - CAN) 8:29.70, Bronze - Yohanes Chiappinelli (Europe - ITA) 8:32.89.
3000 Metres Steeplechase Women
World record holder Beatrice Chepkoech led from start to finish to win the 3000 Metres Steeplechase. India's Sudha Singh finished in 7th spot.
