Hailing from Mansfield, Texas, United States, Joseph Brown made his first Olympic appearance in 2024 with the USA men’s athletics team. He attended Mansfield High School, where he led his team to win an Area Championship and won the Field Event MVP in his junior season. A versatile athlete, he was a member of the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions men’s team at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He was the NCAA DII National Champion in discus in 2019.
Joseph Brown proved his best in other aspects of athletics too in his college year. His best indoor performance in short put was 16.76 m in 2016 and weight throw was 18.91m in 2018.
