Kenneth Rooks is a track and field athlete from the United States of America. He earned his civil engineering degree from Brigham Young University as a student-athlete. Rooks rose to prominence by clinching the 3000-meter steeplechase title with a personal best time of 8:16.78 at the 2023 USA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, despite falling over a barrier, rolling twice, and trailing by 30 meters. He also secured 10th place at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Before graduating, Rooks was a student at College Place High School in College Place, Washington. As a high school athlete, he recorded personal bests of 1:53.56 in the 800 meter, 4:11.40 in the mile, and 9:20.86 in the 3200 meter. He became a two-time WIAA cross country state champion and the 2017 WIAA 1A state champion in the 1600 meter. Beyond athletics, Rooks served as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kampala, Uganda.
