Professional Olympic sprinter Kenny Bednarek was born on October 14, 1998, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his high school days in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, he won seven individual titles and even led his team to win the 4×400 relay. He's been involved in athletics since second grade.
According to World Athletics, Bednarek is world no. 1 in the 200-meter sprint with a 19.67-second finish at the 2024 Doha Diamond League meeting, which also set his personal best. In 2018, he ran a 200-meter high school event with a time of 20.43, setting a new national record. Furthermore, he has also won silver medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (19.68) and the 2022 Eugene World Championships (19.77).
