National Senior Athletics Championships: Round-up of results

Inderjeet Singh continued his great run of form

Inderjeet Singh clinched his seventh gold of the year at the National Senior Athletics Championships in Chennai with a throw of 20.44m. Adding to that, the 26-year-old also created a new national meet record courtesy that effort.

After winning many silver and bronze medals, MR Poovamma finally got her hand on the gold, finishing with a timing of 52.78 seconds in the 400m race. Rajiv Arokia, who won a gold in second leg of the Asian Grand Prix Games, also finished on top-of-the-podium in the Men’s 400m while in the only team event,(4x400m relay), Kerala won the gold.
