Nepal Athletic Team leaves for Pune to take part in 20th Asian Athletics Championship

Despite the problems in the Nepal Athletics Association (NAA), the Nepal athletics team left for Pune, India to take part in the 20th Asian Athletics Championship which will be held from July 3 to 7. Rakesh Bajracharya is the coach of the Nepali team. Two male and two female players are representing Nepal in the championship.

Below are the list of players and the event they are participating.

1. Keshari Chaudhary: Women’s Triple jump and 100 meters hurdles
2. Dil Maya Karki: Women´s 400 meters
3. Tilak Ram Tharu: Men´s 100 meters and 200 meters
4. Kalyan Baniya: Men´s 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters

National Sports Council Member Secretary Mr. Yavaraj Lama bid farewell to the team and urged players to focus in their performances leaving behind the dispute in the NAA.
