
Parker Valby is a professional American track and field athlete, who competes in middle and long-distance running. She hails from the town of East Lake in Tampa, Florida. There, she studied at the East Lake High School before beginning her graduation from the University of Florida. There, she represents the Florida Gators in collegiate competition. Mainly competing in 3000-m, 5000-m, and 10000-m, Valby has won two medals in the NCAA Cross Country Championship, two gold in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, and four medals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
She has also won the SEC Championships four times in individual competitions. Valby is an eight-time USTFCCCA All-American among the different running categories and was also a 2024 The Bowerman Finalist. In 2023-24, she was named the SEC Female Athlete of the Year, and the Outdoor Women’s Runner of the Year. Besides a spectacular collegiate career, Valby has also been making waves in her international career. She qualified for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and will represent the USA in the Women’s 10,000-m category.

During her time at the East Lake High School, Valby competed in swimming and lacrosse. She started partaking in cross-country in 2016 and was also suggested to pick up track and field sports, which she was not very enthusiastic about, as it would mean giving up lacrosse. Valby eventually chose track and field, and the rest is history.
During her high school junior year, she became the Florida State Champion and also Florida's state all-time record holder. However, her senior high school year was interrupted by the global pandemic. Valby then began her NCAA Career with Florida Gators as a student at the University of Florida. In June 2023, at 20, she inked a deal with Nike while pursuing her graduation. This was a Name, Image, and Likeness deal that the NCAA had allowed just a year before collegiate athletes. Valby became the first-ever female college track and field athlete to ink an NIL deal with Nike. At the age of 21, Valby competed in her first Olympics.
