Despite facing challenges in recruiting, Quincy's talent was recognized by Curtis Allen, then the head coach at College of the Sequoias (COS), leading him to California to pursue his collegiate career in 2017. Under Allen's mentorship, Quincy flourished, winning championships and setting records, including a notable victory at the U20 Pan American Junior Championships.
