Russell Robinson, a 23-year-old triple jumper, was born and raised in Windermere, Florida. After attending West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida, where he was the state high school champion in the long jump, Russell took his talents to the University of Miami. It was during his time with the Hurricanes that he blossomed into one of the most decorated student-athletes in the program's history. In March 2024, Russell won the NCAA Division I Indoor Triple Jump title, becoming the 18th Hurricane to win an individual national championship. He followed that up with a second-place finish at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
In addition to his NCAA, Russell has also found success on the international stage. In 2023, he won the gold medal in the triple jump at the NACAC U23 Championships in San Jose, Costa Rica.
