
Shamier Little (born March 20, 1995) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 400m hurdles. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, she attended Lindblom Math & Science Academy in Chicago where she excelled, setting state records in several events.
Little went on to have an exceptional college career at Texas A&M University, winning three consecutive NCAA outdoor titles in the 400m hurdles from 2014-2016. On the international stage, she is a two-time silver medalist in the 400m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships (2015, 2023).
Her personal best of 52.39 seconds, set in Stockholm in 2021, ranks her as the 5th fastest woman ever in the event. Shamier Little attended Texas A&M University. During her time at Texas A&M, she won three consecutive NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 400m hurdles from 2014 to 2016.
As a freshman in 2014, Little claimed the NCAA 400m hurdles title with a time of 55.07 seconds, setting a new Texas A&M school record. She became the first Aggie to win the NCAA 400m hurdles crown since 1998.

As a senior in 2013, Little won three events at the IHSA Class 2A State Championships - setting new 2A meet records in the 100m hurdles (13.87) and 200m (24.05) while also capturing the 400m title in 54.37 seconds.
The previous year in 2012, she was a three-event 2A state champion, winning the 400m (54.19), 100m hurdles (14.02), and 300m hurdles (42.80). Little's high school personal bests included 53.46 in the 400m, 13.79 in the 100m hurdles, and 57.44 in the 400m hurdles.
