Born in Louisville, Kentucky to athletic parents, Shamier Little first started running track at age 8 with local clubs like the University of Chicago Youth Track Club and Country Club Hills Gazelles.
She broke out as a high school star at Robert Lindblom Math & Science Academy, setting Illinois state records. After a stellar NCAA career at Texas A&M where she won 3 straight hurdles titles, Little turned pro in 2016.
