The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs face the St. George Illawarra Dragons on Thursday at the Accor Stadium for the first game of NRL Round 12.
The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back losses and will look to reenter the winner’s circle by beating the Dragons. Their last loss came against the Raiders, a where the Bulldogs had taken an early lead. But they’ve not quite fallen off, and there’s much reason to believe that they will bounce back.
The last time the Bulldogs and the Dragons faced off, the Bulldogs were able to secure a close two-point win. To get a similar result, they would need to be active early and set the tone for the rest of the match.
The Dragons are coming off a bye, which they likely enjoyed, considering their 14-point victory over the Rabbitohs a week prior. Their performance has improved significantly this season with visible improvements in defense and attack front. Nevertheless, they’ve been inconsistent through this season and can’t seem to nail down their form.
Despite the Dragons having the better form and being well-rested after their bye, they don’t seem to have a clear advantage. This match looks pretty even. With the Bulldogs coming off two straight losses, they enter with more enthusiasm and drive. This is a tough one to predict, but we have to go with the Bulldogs.
