Hailing from Clovis, New Meixco, Chase Shores is a member of the LSU Tigers, whom he represents in the college baseball scenario. His freshman season with the team in 2023 was cut-short due to an injury he suffered in March 2023, after only appearing in seven games for the team. Chase Shores was a student of the Legacy High School in Midland, Texas, United States, where he represented the Midland Legacy Rebels, his school team in varsity baseball. He gained the most success as a senior in 2022. He pitched 72 innings, securing 123 strikeouts and achieving a win-loss record of 8-2. Moreover, he also scored 10 homers with 47 RBIs in the season. After the season ended, he became the All-American MVP, All-State MVP and All-District MVP in 2022. He was also regarded as the No. 1 ranked right handed pitcher for Class of 2022 in Texas and played the Perfect Game All-American Classic. Perfect Game also chose Chores as No. 5 ranked right handed pitcher and the 23rd overall prospect nationally.

Throughout his high school career, Shores pitched 142 innings, secured 211 strikeouts and had a win-loss record of 18-2. Notably, he became a high school graduate in 2022.
