JB Middleton is presently plying his pitching skills for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles baseball team as of 2024. As a sophomore pitcher for the team, he is notable for his fastballs which reaches the speeds between 83-85 mph. He made his debut for the Eagles as a freshman in 2023 and secured 11 strikeouts in 9.1 innings of work while appearing in 8 games that season Unfortunately, he was unable to display his best performance for the team in 2023 as he was sidelined by injury. He was notable for scoring a season high of four strikeouts against the Liberty Flames on February 19, 2023 and again repeated the same against the Georgia Southern Eagles on March 25, 2023. Unfortunately, he suffered a foot injury that sidelined him from the remainder of the season. Nevertheless, he achieved a win-loss record of 0-3. Middleton also played for the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) in 2023 as a member of the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He appeared in 6 games with the Hawks, pitched 8.1 innings and secured 15 strikeouts. JB Middleton attended Benton Academy in Benton, Mississippi, United States where he played varsity baseball for his school team, the Benton Academy Raiders. As a junior, JB Middleton secured 97 strikeouts in 40 innings pitched. Moreover, he achieved a win-loss record of 10-9. As a result, he was presented with MAIS Class 2A All-State honors. Before his senior season, he was included in All-MAIS preseason All-State Team.
