Jeimer Candelario is renowned for his prowess as a third baseman and first baseman for the Cincinnati Reds in Major League Baseball (MLB). Hailing from New York City, United States, he began his professional baseball journey in the minor leagues with the Dominican Summer League Cubs in 2011. After honing his skills in the minors, he made his MLB debut with the Chicago Cubs in July 2016. He competed briefly with the Cubs before being traded to the Detroit Tigers later that season.

Jeimer spent six seasons with the Tigers, competing in 590 games. In November 2022, he left the team for the Washington Nationals, signing a $5 million contract. However, he later returned to the Chicago Cubs in a trade for DJ Herz and Kevin Made. Despite the reunion, his second stint with the Cubs lasted only four months before he transitioned to the Cincinnati Reds in December 2023.
