Kyle Tucker is one of the best outfielders in baseball. A three-time All-Star and 2022 World Series champion with the Houston Astros, there is a chance that the superstar's time at the club could be nearing an end. Despite being under contract for the 2025 season, there is a chance that the team looks to trade him ahead of the new year to maximize their return.

Although the Astros would likely prefer to keep Kyle Tucker on the roster, they could move him if they cannot agree on a massive contract extension.

Like Juan Soto's situation with the San Diego Padres last offseason, Tucker could command a valuable return for the Astros if they decide to move him.

Per MLB insider Joel Sherman, the Astros are likely to consider trading him. While many teams would love to add Tucker to their roster, given his MVP credentials, the price tag could fade off potential suitors.

Here's a look at 3 potential landing spots for Kyle Tucker if the Astros opt to trade him

#1 - New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are more often than not drawn into discussions as a club with the probability to trade in Kyle Tucker. After losing Juan Soto in free agency, the Tucker trade could fill the void left by his departure. The Yankees would likely need to pay up similarly as they did to acquire Soto, but it could be worth it.

The New York Yankees's championship window is open right now. If they are serious about going all-in to win, GM Brian Cashman would be wise to turn some of their prospects into another All-Star outfielder.

#2 - Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays could be a dark horse contender to acquire Tucker from the Houston Astros. While the team needs to determine what to do with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, GM Ross Atkins and President Mark Shapiro in the hot seat, they could consider Tucker a major, job-saving splash.

The Blue Jays have reportedly been finalists in free agency for both Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto, so they have shown interest in pursuing some of the best players in the game. While Tucker may not be at their level, they could have a better chance of landing him than waiting until free agency if they were to pursue him via trade.

#3 - Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are determined to return to the postseason for the first time since 2020. While they have several questions about their current roster, bringing in a star like Kyle Tucker could help them achieve that goal.

Even though the club has been considering offers for Seiya Suzuki and Cody Bellinger, Tucker is better than both. The Cubs also have several top prospects they could pursue.
