The Houston Astros are coming off a World Series title, looking to repeat, and they have the talent to do so. They added to their offense this winter by signing veteran slugger Jose Abreu. He'll provide solid power in the middle of their order.

The team also re-signed Michael Brantley. He was dealing with a shoulder injury that left him missing the back half of the season as he had surgery. With Brantley and Abreu signed, the Astros lineup has started to take shape.

It's a stacked lineup. The team can hit the ball from the leadoff hitter to the No. 9 spot. Opposing pitchers won't be able to take an at-bat off when they face the Astros.

Baseball fans around the league believe this is the best lineup heading into the 2023 season, especially if Jeremy Pena continues to develop. He slashed .253/.289/.426 with 22 home runs and 11 stolen bases in his first season in the big leagues.

"No doubt.. no other lineup I would rather go into the postseason than that one.. Back to Back!" one fan tweeted.
"I'd say best team overall," another fan tweeted.

Even fans of other teams respect the Houston Astros' lineup. This New York Yankees fan thinks the Astros are the real deal.

Fans believe this roster rivals the one from 2019 that featured George Springer and Carlos Correa. That year, the team finished with a 107-55 record but would lose to the Washington Nationals in the World Series.

Do the Houston Astros have enough talent to repeat?

The Astros lost reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander in free agency, but that's OK. They have more pitchers than they know what to do with.

Hunter Brown, the team's top-rated prospect, will get his first full season in the big leagues. Funny enough, Brown idolized Verlander growing up in Detroit. Now he'll look to fill his shoes.

Aside from Brown, Framber Valdez, Lance McCullers Jr. and Cristian Javier will look to keep opposing hitters on their toes. Their rotation is full of guys who can go deep into games.

Their bullpen is pretty solid as well, with guys like Ryan Pressly, Bryan Abreu and Ryne Stanek. Pair this with how stacked their lineup is, and this team has a good chance at repeating this upcoming season. Watch out for the Houston Astros in 2023.
