The Major League Baseball All-Star game is an annual event that includes top players of the American League and the National League competing with each other. These top players are selected through fan voting and ballot papers and also through managers. The managers select pitchers, however, the starting fielders are selected as per the fans' voting.

The 2024 MLB All-Star game will mark the 94th game of MLB All-Star. It first started in 1933 and since then every year MLB has organized the Midsummer Classic event.

  • 1972-1982: The NL won 11 consecutive All-Star Games. This era was marked by the exceptional play of legends like Johnny Bench, Tom Seaver, and Steve Carlton.

  • 1960-1970: The NL won 11 of the 13 All-Star Games held during this decade, there was one tie during this in 1961 and one loss to the American League in 1962.
