As part of MLB commissioner Rob Manfred's efforts to grow baseball's international appeal, a number of overseas clashes have been announced for the 2024 season.
After the Dodgers opened their season against the Padres in South Korea to begin the 2024 season, it's time for the next overseas spectacle. This time, the 20,000-seat Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú in Mexico City will play host to MLB action.

Players To Watch out in 2024 Mexico Series
Ronel Blanco of the Astros is set to start game one of the series. Despite the fact that the Houston Astros' rotation has struggled, Ronel Blanco has been brilliant, and did not surrender a run until his sixteenth inning on the mound this year. Already with a complete game shutout under his belt, Blanco will bring his 1.33 to Mexico City.
Young center fielder Brenton Doyle impressed Rockies fans last season, hitting 10 home runs and 48 RBIs. However, 2024 seems to have awoken a new beast in the 25-year old. So far, Doyle is hitting a team-best .330. Over the past seven games, Doyle has hit an even .500.
Jose Abreu is another player to keep an eye on. A former MVP in 2020 during his time with the Chicago White Sox, the veteran third baseman is struggling with the Astros. So far, Abreu is hitting just .081 without a home run. Watch out for the Cuban to get something going in Mexico City.
