Boston Red Sox fans reacted to the news of the MLB investigation into manager Alex Cora’s comments about the incident involving pitcher Brayan Bello during Saturday’s game.

Bello threw several pitches off the plate that seemed intentionally aimed at hitting New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge, who was batting at the time. A day after the game, Cora’s comments suggested that Bello’s pitches outside the strike zone might have been intentional to hit Judge.

“It was closed yesterday, like around the sixth inning. So, you know, we had our chance. Didn’t happen, and we have to move on,” Cora said (via MLB.com)

“Good. Throwing at guys on purpose is fu**ing awful, and I wish they would do more to stop it,” another fan said.

“Cora’s such an idiot,” another fan wrote.

Other fans continued to express their frustration with Cora in the comments.

“I hate that clown, Cora. The Sox never should've rehired him after his suspension. Him and the cheating scandal make it embarrassing to be a Red Sox fan sometimes,” a comment reads.
“I hate Alex Cora more than I hate stepping on Legos at night,” another comment reads.

“Alex Cora needs to go away. I don't even have a team in this fight, but the dude is a twice proven cheater and now having your pitching staff intentionally throwing at hitters makes you look even worse,” someone wrote.

If the investigation goes against the Boston Red Sox and their manager Alex Cora, some disciplinary action, like a suspension or fine, could ensue.

“We talked, and there's two ways of seeing it, right? Their dugout and our dugout. And, like I told him, ‘Put yourself in our shoes, and you will understand why we feel this way.’ We’ll leave it at that.”

The Boston Red Sox (75-75) start their three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday at Tropicana Field.
