Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper gave a major scare to the organization and the Citizens Bank Park faithful in Game 1 of their four-game series against the Miami Marlins on Thursday night. Philadelphia lost the game 7-4, but they are likely more concerned with Harper, who injured his left hamstring after making the final out of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Bryce Harper felt his hamstring a couple of times before limping off the field. This injury comes just as it was announced that he would be the National League's starting first baseman for the 2024 All-Star Game earlier in the day. Harper will undergo scans and imaging on his left hamstring on Friday.
Fans took notice of the incident and immediately voiced their concerns over Harper's injury. They took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment on the incident which, at first instance, didn't look good for the Phillies' star slugger.

Bryce Harper's injury is the back end of an injury double whammy for the in-form Philadelphia Phillies. Before Harper, their DH Kyle Schwarber, who started in the left field for just the third time this season, left the game in the ninth inning complaining about left groin tightness.
