Fans reacted as the New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge and star slugger Giancarlo Stanton took batting practice on Tuesday ahead of World Series Game 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While it's a routine event for players before a game, the superstar duo practiced their hitting in full Yankees uniform. Yankees fans were hyped after seeing the All-Star sluggers in full uniform before the Fall Classic commences on Friday at Dodger Stadium.

"Judge & Stanton back-to-back HR's in Game 1," wrote an excited fan.
"The uni’s are ON with the World Series patch. Yesh, we’re just god damn ready to GO," wrote another fan.
"JUDGE GOING YARD FIRST AT BAT," predicted a fan.

Meanwhile, some fans argued that it was some promotional shoot that had the Yankees stars in full uniform.

"In full unis is a bit strange with no game today."
"Full uniform with helmets for BP? This has to be promo footage or something," wrote another fan.
"They’re filming something, like a postseason feature/edit or something- I mean they’re getting their hacks in but in full uniform for a reason…from the looks of it," a fan chimed in.

Aaron Judge shares his admiration for Shohei Ohtani ahead of World Series

The 2024 World Series is a clash of some of the biggest superstars in baseball. While the Yankees are led by AL MVP contender Aaron Judge, the Dodgers' offense will look up to their history maker, Shohei Ohtani.

Ahead of Game 1 on Friday, Aaron Judge reiterated his admiration for Ohtani.

"Like I said, he’s the best player in the game, and he didn’t even pitch this year,” Judge said.
“It was definitely fun to watch him do his thing. We’re all competing. We’re all trying to go out there and be our best. I just always root for good baseball when I’m watching those guys play.”

Meanwhile, Yankees teammate Juan Soto shared his thoughts on facing the Dodgers' star trio of Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.

"Three former MVPs. They’ve been there. They’ve been on the big stage. They’ve been showing that they can do it. They are really good players. They are great people, too, because I’ve gotten to chat a little bit with them. Really excited to play against them.”

Juan Soto, who struck a clutch home run in ALCS Game 5 against the Guardians, will look to replicate his heroics in the World Series to end the Yankees' 15-year drought for a ring.
