With another long and grueling baseball season done and dusted, Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is making full use of the downtime to watch other sports he enjoys.

On Saturday, the All-Star shortstop was spotted at the much-anticipated showdown between UFC stars Colby Covington and Joaquin Buckley in Tampa.

When the camera focused on the Toronto Blue Jays star, though, baseball fans were left stumped as the 26-year-old looked almost unrecognizable after having cut off the long hair, his signature look since his MLB debut.

Several fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment about how Bichette's fresh new haircut suited him.

"Looks like a completely different person."
"Looks so much better."
"Nice cut," another fan commented.

On the other hand, there were a few fans who felt Bichette should have stuck with his old haircut.

"Bo got rid of his mojo," a fan posted.
"Lost all his aura lol," another fan shared.
"No flow Bichette," another fan wrote.

Reportedly, Bichette was not the only major league star at the big fight. New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge along with teammate Clarke Schmidt, while Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow also attended the fight, along with his partner Meghan Murphy.

After a dismal 2024 season, Bo Bichette will look to get back on track in 2025

Just like his team, the Blue Jays, who finished the campaign rock bottom of the AL East with a 74-88 record, shortstop Bo Bichette had a season to forget in 2024. The 26-year-old missed almost the entirety of the season with injury issues while struggling for production when healthy.

At the end of the season, Bichette's stats did not make for pleasant viewing, as he finished with a .225 batting average, accumulating only four home runs and 31 RBIs, a far cry from his consecutive 20+ home run seasons in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

This leaves the Blue Jays in a tricky situation, as they decide between sticking with Bichette and trusting that he will come good on the heaps of potential he possesses, or trading for him while they can still get a good offer.

For Bichette, no matter where he ends up playing baseball in the future, there is only one thing to focus on- rediscovering the performance levels and consistency that made him one of the most highly-rated young players in his position.
