The Boston Red Sox have increased and enhanced their analytics department in recent seasons in an attempt to build the best team possible. Analytics have been exceedingly prevalent in MLB for some time now, so it is not surprising to see the Red Sox heading in that direction. The NHL and NFL are both extremely reluctant to embrace the new concepts, while the NBA and MLB are both warming up to them. In reality, analytics is another source of information that can help make decisions involving your team. Finishing below the Baltimore Orioles and having a losing record in 2022 could be their rock bottom in recent memory.
