Fans reacted as the New York Yankees slumped to a 3-0 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on Sunday. Coming off a 14-4 victory against the Red Sox, the Yankees have lost their three-game series with the Sox.

The Bronx Bombers were held scoreless by pitcher Kutter Crawford for almost seven innings. Their offense recorded only four hits in 29 at-bats, with no RBIs, one walk and six strikeouts.

The Yankees have now lost 16 of their last 22 games. Fans were disheartened by their team’s loss and took to X/Twitter to share their reactions.

“DJL is slower than Windows 98,” a fan said.
“Fire this whole coaching staff and front office,” another fan said.
“We used up all our hits last night ugh,” another fan wrote.

Other fan reactions continued, with some discussing the club’s future given their latest performance.

“Should’ve fired Cashman after missing the playoffs last season. None of us are surprised,” a comment reads.
“There's no way this team can win with this pitching staff, and Lemahieu, Grisham and Torres . No way,” another comment reads.
“Do you even want the World Card,” someone wrote.

The Red Sox offense scored three runs in the final three innings, all on home runs. Rafael Devers hit a 373-foot homer off Yankees' Luis Gil in the seventh inning. Ceddanne Rafaela followed with a 412-foot homer off Luke Weaver in the eighth inning.

Devers struck again in the ninth inning with a 423-foot homer off Michael Tonkin, sealing victory for the Red Sox.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone reacts to team's 6-16 stretch

The New York Yankees pitcher Luis Gil pitched for 6.2 innings, giving up one earned run on four hits while striking out nine batters.

The pitching staff as a whole struck out 13 batters, giving up three earned runs on six hits, contributing to the loss and extending their stretch of recent poor performances.

Discussing their struggles, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said:

"It feels terrible...but it's all right there in front of us. We’ve got a tough road trip coming. We have an off day tomorrow. This is not the time to feel sorry for yourself, it's the time to try and get guys going."

The Bronx Bombers (55-37), who are second in the AL East, start a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
