Most New York Yankees fans have been disappointed with Aaron Judge's performance in the World Series. The Yankees captain had a poor series overall and went into Game 5 with a batting average of just .133.
In an attempt to illustrate just how bad Judge had been performing, a blogger by the name of Dan Clark brought up Judge's wife Samantha's DUI from 2020 on Tuesday. He pointed out that her blood alcohol levels were higher than his World Series batting average.
Several MLB fans protested against taking personal shots at someone's wife just because they had a bad series.
"cover baseball all you want but don’t take personal shots at someone’s wife and try to tie it into baseball," wrote one fan on Twitter.
"Uncalled for. Leave his wife out of it," another added.
"How low of a human can you possibly be?" asked another.
While some fans slammed the blogger for attacking Judge's wife, others questioned his character for doing so in the first place.
"This is low, Dan." wrote @_Stacie_Burke on Twitter.
"You thought this hit. Just shows you're garbage," added @jtd_824.
"Did posting this make you feel good?" asked @LukeMeals.
Aaron Judge and Samantha Bracksieck met when they were in high school in Linden, California, after which they went on to attend college at Fresno State University together. They got married in 2021 in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.
Aaron Judge recalls wife Samantha's part in him signing $360 million contract
Aaron Judge is reserved when it comes to discussing his private life in public and his wife, Samantha, is even more so. While the New York Yankees slugger has a presence on social media, he rarely posts anything about his private life, while Samantha is even more low-key.
But Judge did share a tidbit about Bracksieck during a July 2024 appearance on the Casa de Klub Podcast. Judge said his wife played a part in him signing a nine-year, $360 million contract in December 2022.
When the talks between the two sides weren't going anywhere, his wife encouraged him to call owner Hal Steinbrenner to tell him he wanted to stay in New York. The call went well, as Steinbrenner also made Judge the Yankees' captain.
Aside from aiding her husband's contract situation, Samantha also leads various charitable endeavors through her husband's foundation ALL RISE. While she has an undergraduate and master's degree in kinesiology, she is now more involved with charity events, mostly for children.
